THERE AND BARELY THERE
First photo assignment of the quarter was to use a piece of foil as creatively as you can. This was no simple task, as many of me and my classmates thought it might be. Foil’s reflective qualities, tear-ability, and wrinkle-ability were extremely troublesome to combat. After numerous ideas, and wrapping practically everything in my room in foil, I came up with the idea of wrapping a bra in foil. The bra wrapped in foil is suppose to symbolize bra’s that are irritating to women and whose texture is noticeable through the shirt. The second image of the non-wrapped bra, is a bra that is suppose to be so comfortable to the point that it is unnoticeable to the wearer.

245 PEAS
This photograph one of the more tedious photo that I have done. Not because of the lighting or shoot, but because of the preparations before hand. I’ve had this idea for a tower of peas for a while and finally came up with a way to execute it. I made a pyramid out of cardboard that was 5 inches on each side. Then I glued 245 peas to two of the four sides. Gluing each pea didn’t take as long as a I thought it would, however, I did have to go through 3 different types of peas before I could find one that actually adhered to the glue. Afterwords I had to carefully transport my pea pyramid and other materials to the studio. Once there I lit the right side of the pyramid and had a white reflector bouncing light back in on the left. I also had a grid spot on the back.

HANDS
This image was shot in studio. The two hands are ring holders that I keep in my room. The hands and (fake) diamonds were placed on top of a mirror – hence the reflections. White seamless background and two strip lights to the left and right of the hands.

MANDI AND KELSEY

Columbus Zoo
This past weekend I went to the zoo with my two best girlfriends, Mandi and Liz. We had a blast looking at the animals and making fun of the people there. Here are two of my favorite images from the zoo. Also I didn’t realize the little girls reflection in the image with the ape until after I loaded it onto the computer.

POMME DE HAIR
I took this photo over a year ago and like my last post, I had forgot to post it after I finished editing it. I have tons of weird props that I’ve used or plan on using in my photoshoots. I can’t remember where I found these little apples at, but I think they look awesome in Lindsay’s long hair. I use a canon 430 flash mixed with ambient window light.
